Hello Bill, 2 short questions: 1: If you say “in business for less than 3 years”, when to start counting? For example, we integrated last year, but during that time, we have further developed our application. We didn`t start selling until this year. 2. After 3 years, you wrote: “Start-ups can continue to use the development tools they have received previously through the program.” I guess we can keep the software free and keep using it? Does this mean that we do not have to pay for new development licenses? (Of course, I hope we`ve done enough to buy it by then, but I also want to plan for future budget spending, :)) Thank you for your help! After the 3 years that you have completed the progam, you get licenses for a considerable amount of software, totally free. I have about 5 physical servers on which Server Standard 2016 is run and are just hypervisor servers. The license (or installation key) came from the BizSpark program (which we completed from 2017). I have several VMs on these physical servers that all use the 2016 license key of the BizSpark program. Keep all of the software you`ve downloaded for free during the three years you`ve been in the BizSpark program. If you have servers in production, you will receive licenses to continue using up to 4 Windows servers (Standard Edition) and 2 SQL (Standard Edition) servers. The BizSpark team checks the requirements for startups that need a different configuration. This is because they do not have licensing documentation. 8) Once you`re up and running, you can find a Windows host that can use licenses with you and your production to offer your hosting services at a discounted price.
The BizSpark homepage lets you click “Manage the Host Relationship” and find hosts in your country who are part of the program. After completing BizSpark, you will need to purchase new licenses for each server software you continue to use by Microsoft that you previously purchased through the program. Once you have completed your contract, you must have received your license, which should clarify what you can continue to use and in what amount. So if I use a server with a standard 2016 license and it is only used as a hypervisor server, I think I can add two VM to the server that can use the license. If you haven`t been on the BizSpark site and/or haven`t completed the graduation process, the terms of the agreement between your start-up and BizSpark state that your startups no longer use Microsoft software and tools provided or consulted at the end of the program or after the program is unloaded, depending on what happens first.
